Our school follows the National Curriculum and Assessment Policy (CAPS) in all subjects. The exit certificate at the end of Grade 12 is the National Senior Certificate (NSC).

English is the medium language of teaching and learning, with Afrikaans being the 1st Additional Language.

GET

GET starts from Grade R – 7, English HL, Afrikaans FAL and Mathematics are fundamental subjects in GET. Learners do the following subjects over and above the fundamental subjects;

  1. NSTECH
  2. Social Sciences
  3. Natural Sciences
  4. Economics and Management Sciences
  5. Technology
  6. Creative Arts
  7. Life Skills
  8. Life Orientation

FET

FET starts from Grade 8 – 12.  The fundamental subjects in FET are English HL, Afrikaans FAL, Life Orientation and Mathematics.

Learners in Grade 8 and 9 do the following subjects over and above the fundamental subjects;

  1. Natural Sciences
  2. Technology
  3. Economics and Management Sciences
  4. Creative Arts
  5. Social Sciences

FET

Grades 10 – 12 do the 4 fundamental subjects and have 3 subjects of choice to make them 7 from the following:

  3. Agricultural Science
  4. Geography
  5. Business Studies
  6. Economics
  7. Accounting
  8. Computer Application Technology
